Candyland Kennel, Breeder of Queen Elizabeth Pocket Beagles |

Hi! My name is Candy McNabb. I have been a Queen Elizabeth Pocket Beagle Breeder for four years now. I have raised Labrador Retrievers for over 12 years and have been a dog (animal) lover since birth.
My puppies are all raised in my house with my family. They are in individual whelping boxes by litter in my computer room. I work from home a lot and like my pups to be in the same room as me. I often have a puppy walking across my computer desk as I am working. It gives them each a little extra special time with just me.
My children are always playing with pups. My youngest daughter who is 10 has a pup in her arms within seconds of waking in the morning and it is usually the last thing she does before going to bed. She loves to swing while holding a pup or takes it in her playhouse with her. My oldest daughter is 16. She loves to hold the pups while watching t.v. She is the one who teaches them to be calm and my youngest teaches them to play with manners.
We do some house breaking while they are living with us. Once they are old enough to get their first shots we start taking them out after meals to go potty outside. My daughters also like to walk them on leashes so they do have some leash training also.
My adult dogs are in a climate controlled barn in their own little groups. Their area and their water bowls get cleaned everyday. Each and every adult dog gets a few minutes of special attention at least 2 times per day. My daughters also like to walk them on leashes or run around the yard with a couple at a time. My adult dogs each get time in our house. The females come in at least 2 weeks before whelping and stay in until the pups are weaned. We bring the male dogs in the house when we don't have females with pups. We do a monthly worming and nail trimming where we let each group of dogs run the barn while waiting for their manicure. They love it!
Our farm is about 12 acres. We have horses, 2 cows, ducks & geese, 2 cats and the dogs. We live in ranch home.
